Truvía® natural sweetener Product Review

I received a complimentary box of Truvía® natural sweetener to test in my Voxbox from Influenster.com, which is a really cool website that allows you to try new products and spread the word about them via social media . This natural sweetener is really a good alternative to sugar. I tried it in tea and on fruit. Here is some product info:

Truvía® natural sweetener is the first natural, great-tasting, zero-calorie sweetener born from the leaves of the stevia plant.

o One packet of Truvía® natural sweetener provides the same sweetness as two teaspoons of sugar.
o Truvía® natural sweetener is refreshingly uncomplicated. Add it to coffee and tea. Sprinkle it on fruit and cereal.
o Truvía® natural sweetener is a great alternative for people with diabetes. It is also kosher certified

Kiss Nail Dress

I just received the Kiss Nail Dress nail kit through Influenster (a really cool website that allows you to test new complimentary products through your participation in surveys and social media). I have used the Sally Hansen Nail Effects before. They are actually very similar. The main difference I saw was that the Kiss Nail Dress kit was really a very sticky sticker where the Sally Hansen brand was nail polish strips. To me, the Kiss brand felt thicker on my nails but stayed longer than the Sally Hansen brand. Being they are around the same price, I would probably buy this brand to use again. I love how time saving it is and how there is no dry time. I have a 1 year old, so that aspect is pretty crucial.

Product Details:

  • Nail Dress is available in 18 different styles, many of them featuring 3-dimensional jeweled designs.
  • With 28 strips in each package, you can cut up your extras to create designs that can be used on top of polished or artificial nails. Nail Dress doesn’t dry out the way other polish strips can, so you can save them to use on your next DIY mani. A nail design booklet is included in each package, just in case you need a little inspiration.
  • And don’t forget about your feet! Nail Dress looks awesome on toes, too – just use the square side of the sticker for a perfect fit.
  • Nail Dress’ suggested retail is $6.99 and is available in all major drug chains and mass retailers like WalMart, CVS and Walgreens.

Venus & Olay Razor

I just received the Gillette Venus & Olay Razor through Influenster (a really cool website that allows you to test new complimentary products through your participation in surveys and social media). I had used the Gillette Venus Spa razors previously so I knew how it worked. Here's the product info:

  • Venus’ five-bladed razors shave you close and adjust to women’s curves for a smooth and comfortable shave, even over tricky shaving areas like knees and ankles.
  • Olay Moisture Bars contain skin-enhancing elements found in Olay products: Petrolatum helps lock in skin’s moisture for less dryness and Glycerin helps offer that goddess glow! Just wet the razor to release a light lather – no separate shave cream required.
  • As with most Venus razors, new Venus & Olay also features a rounded, pivoting head designed for women’s curves, and a soft-grip ergonomic handle for confident control, even in wet and soapy environment.

For more info, go to the Venus website

I absolutely LOVE this razor! Such a time saver and makes it super easy to shave in the shower! I will definitely be buying this in the future!

It's been a while...

Wow I haven't posted since August 24th! It was so much easier to post when I have more free time in the summer....now that school has started back and therefore, the routines along with it, its been a little harder.

I am 22 weeks along now in my pregnancy. Everything is going great! My pregnancy has been so textbook. Besides being tired all of the time, I have felt great the entire time! On September 23rd, I had my monthly dr. appointment and we found out we are having a BOY! I think the people in the waiting room could hear Jade from the ultrasound room! He was so excited! Of course, so was I. I was so convinced and just knew it was a boy, I think I had come to want a boy even more than a girl. I do want a girl one day but for this first one, I am glad it's a boy. We do have a definite name picked out but are not revealing it until he's born.

I have been feeling him kick a lot here lately. More definite kicks that let me know its a kick and not just a gas bubble :) which is what it felt like at first. The other day, he was being very active and Jade even got to feel him kick. It was a very neat and special moment for both of us. I love feeling him move and kick; reminding me every day that he's in there. I love him so much already! These next four months are gonna fly by.

I've picked out a lot of the nursery stuff and can't wait to start buying and getting and setting it up. One thing we have started buying already is clothes. This baby boy is definitely not going to be needing in that department. I knew this is how it would be after we found out the gender. Before, we (me, Mom, Mamaw, Jade, etc) could resist from buying things due to the fact that we didn't know boy or girl. But now that we do know, it might not be such a good thing for our bank accounts. :)

Busy! Busy! Busy!

I have been so busy since school started last Thursday! I have a really great class this year! Very good year to have a good class....I certainly do not need any added stress like I had last year. Still trying to get back in the swing of work hours and days. Summer was so nice and I was very sad to see it go. Oh well...at least I get a good long break around February that I don't usually get! :)

Went to the doctor last Monday. Mamaw got to go with me this time. We enjoyed a nice afternoon shopping and eating out after the appointment. It was nice since we do not get to do that very often anymore.

Babies heart rate was 150 and everything was great! I'm still feeling really good but super tired since work started back. I go back on September 23rd for the second ultrasound where we'll be finding out the gender assuming the baby cooperates *crossing fingers*!

Well Worth the Wait!

Finally! Our new vehicle came in on Thursday afternoon. I had been at a conference in DeQueen and spotted it sitting at York Gary as I came back into town around 4:30. You can imagine how excited I was since I have been waiting on the thing since last Tuesday! We went to York Gary early Friday morning, parted ways with the old Cavy' and bought the Terrain! We are really enjoying it so far and are very proud of it. It was definitely time for a new one. I just love the new car smell! :)
